Ex-SINISSTAR Guitarist Joins Metal Project Of THE LORDS OF THE NEW CHURCH Singer
September 19, 2004Former SINISSTAR/SUPERFIX guitarist China has joined STEVENMARQUE, the new solo metal project of THE LORDS OF THE NEW CHURCH singer Steven Marque. The band are currently mastering songs for their debut CD, "Mad Love", due on March 15, 2005 via Incineration.
In an interview posted on his web site, Steven describes his solo project as "a barrage of sound and vision, based on, and hopefully comparable to some of my personal favorite free thinking artists. It's physically meant to have the sheer power of SLAYER, the cabaret of [MARILYN] MANSON, the horror of ALICE COOPER and the philosophy of THE DOORS. It's everything I ever wanted in a metal band and a way of life. Be careful what you wish for, it just might turn up in the form of a raging incubus and rip you apart from the inside out. I have been working on this group mentally since I was born this time around, if you believe that kind of thing. It's the spectacle of the festival, the Bacchanalian blow out for the future of hard rock. Not straight edge, but off the edge and into oblivion."
